Good job on the fiber glass. You might want to get some tacky tape and vaccume seal the repair for a couple hours to get a good bond. You can use the Ac vaccume pump from harbor freight and some plastic.

Noooooo! Keep the original color! If you paint it nardo grey or white it would be taken as a normal auto and manufacturers like Kia use nardo grey to try and be special. A McLaren is unique supercar and looks fantastic in the original color, but it is your baby.........

The original gold color would be the best! Keeping it factory would showcase the high level of your establishment as well as the McClaren!

Yes Original is great, but that Gold Color is a bit Dated , my opinion.. Maybe go with another Gold that looks Modern and Tough looking. Goldy/Bronze/Satin Gloss,, You bought the killa exhaust to make it sound tough,make it look tough, Black Rims..

The front, driver's side of the McLaren looks pretty smart in the black and white. Doing the whole car like that could look good. The grey just doesn't sound very exciting.

What backing material do you use to back up the fiberglass-resin material (you taped down this clearly plastic stuff with yellow adhesive tape)?

Personally idk about Nardo Grey, on a hyper car id rather have something glossy like a Black Cherry Pearl I feel like Nardo Grey is one of those things that people default to do be different which doesn't really age well, like white wheels.

Grey is already overused use a diff variant of that gold maybe m3 color

I get why some people are saying keep that metallic gold colour, it is a kind of retro colour and retro 1960s/70s/ metallic colours like browns and greens and golds are making a big comeback and have become popular again so that would be quite contemporary , personally I see white or grey as being a bit dated, if not the gold colour then maybe a retro bronze metallic, copper metallic or a retro burgundy metallic ...think 1970s or 60s metallic...that look will sell the car in a flash because those retro colours are defo back in vogue.

Finally McLaren is nearing completion! This build definitely have been amazing.

As if my opinion matters :) a color that shifts some in the light to show off body lines would be my choice. 1968 firebird green in the dark, sparkling yellow gold in bright light. Maybe similar to the stock color in the light. My 68 firebird never made it out of grey primer, and it wasn't at all cool to the other kids in the 80's

I say paint it what every color you want. Looks like it’s been repainted before anyway looked like there was red paint under the current color. Previous paint work might explain the waviness on door. Current color reminds me of the BMW you repaired.

When glassing over a hole, cut the fiberglass mat into large, med, and small pieces. Use the smaller ones to build up the center and work your way out. Also pre soak the mat in the resin to get it 100% wet and its easier to squeeze out the air bubbles.

Like many who have commented on the color, I think that original metallic yellow is absolutely gorgeous and unique. I would keep it as similar as possible. But it sounds like you have your heart set on Nardo Grey, so you should definitely paint it the color you want to.
