27:25 if most Karate Kid watchers missed this part of the movie, I think it is the most crucial part to making the expansion of Cobra Kai make sense. There was also a moment in the film where Dutch antagonize Danny in the locker room and Johnny is just posted up not getting involved. Johnny and Bobby were always good guys, Dutch was the one who was all for no mercy. Even Tommy, and Jimmy tried to get Kreese to stop choking Johnny after the fight at the beginning of the second one, but Dutch just turned his back...and that is why he is in jail in Cobra Kai haha...some knowledge for any fans that care.

I'm 42. Literally watched the karate kid 100+ times when I was a kid. Amazing.

I wish they would ZOOM OUT and let us see everyone's face during the interview instead of SUPER CLOSE shots while someone is talking. Hard to enjoy THE PANEL if we can only see one person. I'm very glad to have this footage and I watched it all, but sometimes camera operators just don't seem to think about what the audience will want to see.

Yeah Johnny in the original movie done some messed up things to Daniel but Daniel wasnt innocent he was stealing away the girl that was Johnny's girl and got into the middle of Johnny trying to talk to her . I've known several women that expected me to give chase and fight for the right to be their man!

Ralph has definitely improved in the interview department. He's shed a little bit of that awkwardness but still very likeable.

I can relate to the first question. My roommate and I got into a bad argument one night that led to a direct fight. We were bitter for quite some time but one day we just said “you know what, that was bullshit.... let’s put it behind us” now we are the best of friends.

Re-watched Karate Kid 1 last night. Cannot get enough of these wonderful interviews, full of praise joy surprise more praise honoring laughs and tears galore - so much love - so rare to love Hollywood as I do here!

Well, so many great films even during my parents' time as well compared to the propaganda we are getting today with some exceptions.

Johnny gave Daniel the trophy and took his loss like a man. Daniel held a grudge. Johnny was/is the better man. Daniel was the bully. The real Karate Kid was Johnny.

The real reason this movie is still important to this day to sooo many Americans is because, much like David Carradine in Kung Fu, there is a deep wisdom expressed within it that comes from a much older society. This wisdom is precisely what our much newer and ignorant society lacks, so it tends to truly resonates with the people who connect with it. It's GREAT stuff!
